Monterey College of Law Graduates Successful on February 2014 Bar Exam . . . Monterey College of Law reports an 86% pass rate for the Class of 2014 graduates who sat for the February 2014 California Bar Exam. Sushila J. Commons, Jason Grant Gouldon, Angel L. Hess, Howard Joseph McDonald, Mohammed Kamil Murad, and Michael Christopher Sampson received notice from the Committee of Bar Examiners last Friday that they had passed the challenging California Bar Exam on their first attempt. Mitchel L. Winick, President and Dean of MCL, stated, “We are extremely proud of our new MCL lawyers. Passing the California bar exam is one of the highest professional achievements because it is such a difficult exam.” Recognized as the hardest bar exam in the country, the State Bar of California reported a 45.3% overall pass rate for all applicants for the 2014 February Bar exam. MCL will host a public swearing-in ceremony on Tuesday, June 3, 2014 at 5:30 p.m. in the courtroom of the law school’s Community Justice Center at 100 Col. Durham Street, Seaside, CA. The law school also welcomes local graduates of other law schools who passed the bar and who would like to participate in the public swearing-in ceremony.
